Miami Book is a graphic depiction of a trip taken to a tropical metropolis. It’s an artwork book capturing the intersection of nature, Art Deco & materiality.
Nature is a beautiful theme to capture yourself in. There should be no divide between architecture and landscape design, they are one.
Book Binding
This book was made through the process of a perfect bind. This involved assembling the signatures and trimming them prior to the cover attachment to ensure a clean edge. Subsequently, a flexible adhesive was used in order to attach the hardback cover to the spine of the assembled signatures.
The Miami Book
The book explores architecture, culture, nature and creativity of the city. From Zaha Hadid’s 1000 Museum to Ocean Drive. It was intended to capture the very many incredible characteristics of this vivid city. Many of these scenes sparked influence towards my later projects, such as ‘Harmony House’. It was also an exercise for bookmaking and graphic design. The graphic visuals created throughout this book illustrate various characteristics and influences throughout the trip, this book also represents my passion and enjoyment of book-making and graphic design.
The visual communication design was inspired by each experience from the trip.
